The interactive slam poetry event of the year! Mixing thought provoking storytelling, word play, and emotion. This is performance poetry at its best! For poetry with a pulse, don’t miss Spoken Word at 6:00pm on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Abilene Community Theatre, 809 Barrow St. Abilene, Texas. Admission: $5.

Get in the ACT: Abilene Community Theatre is a 100% volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization. Established in 1954, ACT has performed or hosted over 400 theatrical productions. Our theater, located on Barrow Street, has been our home since 1958. 2015-2016 is looking to be our busiest season ever! In addition to our many excellent productions, we are looking to restore the Round Building, and ACT's Center for Theatre Education (CTE) will begin children's theater classes in September 2015. We are always open to new members- actors, directors, play writes, and volunteers of all skills and skill levels. Please join us as we strive to grow the Abilene Community Theatre!
