The mission of ACT's Center for Theatre Education is to create a safe, inviting environment where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can grow in self-confidence and creativity while feeling free to experience, learn about, and nurture a love and respect for all elements of theatre.
The CTE hopes to make this experience available to all socio-economic levels and all traditionally underserved populations of the Big Country.
This project is supported by a grant from the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council, HeARTS for the ARTS, the Abilene Arts Alliance, and the Junior League of Abilene.
CTE offers Children's Theatre Classes both semesters (Spring & Fall). Contact Broc Baird for more info.
Broc Baird is a multidisciplinary designer, husband, and father of two. He can most often be found behind the scenes working on new deliverables or with a camera in his hands. Broc has experience in musical theatre but loves improv and is always eager to tackle new projects! Broc works as the Creative Director for a local Screen Printing shop, volunteers regularly with his church, and will be joining Abilene ISD as a teacher in 2020. He received his Bachelors in Graphic Design from Full Sail University and is currently working towards a M.F.A. in Media Design. Broc is excited for another spectacular semester at CTE!
